NEWS

  • America : Wall Street was mixed (S&P 500 +0.80%, Nasdaq +1.59%, Dow -0.15%), with gains supported by the technology sector and strong earnings. Expectations of a two-week extension of the U.S.–Iran ceasefire triggered risk-on sentiment, amid resilient U.S. economic data and moderating inflation. The UST 10Y yield rose to 4.28% due to rotation into risk assets in a high interest rate environment.
  • Asia :  Asian markets strengthened (Nikkei 225 +0.44%, KOSPI +2.07%, China SSE +0.01%, Hang Seng +0.29%), driven by easing tensions that helped reduce energy-driven inflation pressures and boosted buying interest. The upward trend may continue on optimism over the ceasefire extension and earnings support, although investors remain selective while awaiting key data from China.

MARKET UPDATE

  • The JCI declined by -0.68% to 7,623, pressured by profit-taking in big-cap stocks and rupiah weakness, which triggered capital outflows. Meanwhile, Middle East conflict risks may weigh on inflation, fiscal conditions, and the external balance, amid a gradual rotation into fixed income assets.
  • Bond market: The 10-year SUN yield fell to 6.57%, driven by inflows amid easing global risks, stable liquidity, and limited foreign selling pressure. Strong domestic demand continues to support the market, although it remains overshadowed by inflation concerns and volatility in UST yields and the rupiah.
